Song For Amy is Mike Caruso's first CD. It was recorded in August and October of  2007 and features New England based Jazz musicians Molly Flannery on Piano, Daryl Lowery on Saxophone, Mike Connors on Drums, John Funkhouser on Bass and Mike Caruso on Bass and Guitar. On the CD, there are 9 original compositions that represent the last 2 decades of musical endeavors.

The idea behind recording the CD was to accomplish something I always wanted to do and to document my music for my children and family. Selling the CD and performing the music in public is all about raising money for Bone Marrow Transplant Patient Care and Research.

In 2008 we donated $6000 dollars to Leukemia Lymphoma related causes ( Leukemia Lymphoma Society and Mass General Hospital ). The donation to the LLS will help with research and the donation to MGH is to enhance Bone Marrow Transplant patient life ( in room computers and entertainment systems ).

We will be continuing our fundraising in Sept 2009 and will provide more details as they become available.
